| With a music career spanning over 35 years,
Jeff Worrell brings his talents as guitarist, songwriter, engineer,
producer, Pro Tools specialist and FOH engineer to Worrell Music Production.
After completing high school, Jeff’s guitar skills landed
him a gig touring and playing with the Tower of Power styled show
band, Time Machine in venues throughout the U.S. After touring for
5 years, he wanted to increase his knowledge of music theory and
guitar technique and enrolled in Musicians Institute in Los Angeles,
California.
Shortly after completing his studies at MI, he landed a position
as guitarist for Natalie Cole and for 5 years traveled the world
playing numerous venues and live television performances. He had
the distinct honor of performing with Natalie for the Nelson Mandela
Freedom Fest at Wembley Arena in London, England. Playing before
an audience of 70,000 music fans and broadcast |
 |
| to 60 million people worldwide, they
shared the stage with rock superstars Peter Gabriel, Eric Clapton,
Sting, Stevie Wonder and Annie Lennox. It was during this part of
his musical journey that Jeff became interested in the sonic aspects
of live performances and recording shows.
By personal study and acquired hands on skill, Jeff became an expert
FOH Engineer. His numerous credits with sound and live performance
recording include national and international tours with America,
Pat Benatar & Neil Giraldo, Sheena Easton, Fleetwood Mac, Edgar
Winter, Dave Mason, Poco, Peabo Bryson, David Gates & Bread
and Otis Day and The Knights.
His ability to create sonic excitement for audiences propelled
him to enter the world of studio engineering, mixing and producing.
Notably, one of his early projects was co-engineering/co-mastering
one of the first albums ever recorded with a computer, the highly
successful Edgar Winter’s “Not A Kid Anymore.”
Edgar and Jeff tracked, mixed and mastered the album using Sound
Tools, the predecessor to the industry standard Pro Tools HD system
of today.
Throughout the years, Jeff has continued to research and obtain
the equipment that meets his sonic and technical standards for Worrell
Music Production. With half a lifetime of gained knowledge and hands
on experience, his love of music has inspired him to seek out new
talent while continuing to serve the music and sonic needs of existing
clients. “Today artists have unlimited possibilities in a
studio. Incorporating the classic gear with the latest recording
technology, engineers have unlimited opportunity today. As a producer/engineer,
my goal is to enable artists to reach their ultimate in creativity
and then, to surpass their own expectations!” |
